Privacy
The short version: EyeFind doesn't have accounts, doesn't use cookies, and doesn't pass your searches to anyone. We know. We're as surprised as you are.
Your searches
When you search, the EyeFind directory is matched against your words inside your own browser. EyeFind doesn't send your searches to any other company or service.
Your search is part of the results page address (for example search.html?q=coffee). That makes results easy to bookmark and share, but it also means the search is included when your browser loads that page, so it can appear in your browser history and in the ordinary request logs of the server that delivers EyeFind's pages.
What's kept on your device
If you change a setting, EyeFind remembers it in your browser's local storage, on this device only:
- Your appearance choice (light, dark, or matching your device).
- The area you picked in Settings, if you picked one.
- Your recent searches, but only if you switch search history on. It's off unless you turn it on.
You can clear your search history or turn it off at any time in Settings. Clearing your browser's site data removes everything listed above.
What EyeFind doesn't do
- No accounts or sign-ins.
- No cookies.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising scripts.
- No location detection. The area in Settings is whatever you choose.
When you leave EyeFind
Results link to other websites. Once you follow a link, that website's own practices apply.
